Live Stock Market Updates – Markets off day’s low, major realty stocks slip

The BSE Realty is one of the top losing indices on Tuesday. It is trading down 1.1% at 1868

Oberoi Realty is contributing heavily to the index losses and dragging it to lower level. It is down by 5.4% at Rs 364 per share.

Other stocks in the index such as HDIL is down 1.5% at Rs 83.60 per share, Sobha is down 1% at Rs 377 per share, DLF is down 1.3% at Rs 173 per share and Godrej Properties is also down by 1.1% at Rs 481 per share.

The stocks that are trading in the green territory are Indiabulls Real Estate, Omaxe and The Phoenix Mills.

Meanwhile, Adani Enterprises witnessed a sharp surge. It is up 4.9% at Rs 116.80 per share. Chambal Fertilisers is also up by 2.2% at Rs 122.25 per share.

At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31166 up 57 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9616 up 11 points. A total of 22 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 60 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.47% at 14437, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.01% at 14856.

Some buying activity is seen in Healthcare, Information Technology and Utilities indices, while Realty, Capital Goods and Consumer Durables indices are showing weakness on BSE.

Aurobindo Pharma, NTPC, Lupin and ICICI Bank are among the gainers, whereas BPCL, Power Grid, ITC and HDFC are losing on the NSE.

The INDIA VIX is up 0.7% at 11.8.
