Benchmark indices NSE Nifty closed at 9606 levels, lower by 9 points or 0.10%, whereas the BSE Sensex closed at 31,103 level, higher by 7 points or 0.03%.
While, BSE mid-cap Index closed up by 0.01% at 14798 whereas, BSE small-cap Index closed up by 0.41% at 15517.
There were 812 advances, 841 declines and 299 unchanged stocks on NSE, reflecting a fairly bearish undertone floating in the market.

Jaiprakash Associates hit a high of Rs 13.85 and a low of Rs 12.40 during the day. The market capitalisation of the company is Rs 3252.19 crore.
Network18 Media & Investments witnessed a spurt in the volume by more than 5.10 times. It hit a high of Rs 52.85 and a low of Rs 47.95 during the day. The market capitalisation of the company is Rs 5480.78 crore.
