In the Nifty index, Power Grid Corporation of IndiaBSE 2.23 % (up 2.13 per cent), Housing Development Finance CorporationBSE 2.04 % (up 1.58 per cent), ACCBSE -0.53 % (up 1.36 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical IndustriesBSE 1.27 % (up 1.35 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 1.31 per cent), YES BankBSE 1.34 % (up 1.31 per cent), NTPCBSE 1.04 % (up 1.23 per cent), LupinBSE 1.83 % (up 1.11 per cent), HDFC BankBSE 1.04 % (up 1.09 per cent) and Ambuja CementsBSE 0.39 % (up 1.06 per cent)stood among top gainers.

Meanwhile, HCL TechnologiesBSE -1.20 % (down 1.39 per cent), Tata MotorsBSE -0.93 % (down 1.25 per cent), Tech MahindraBSE -1.18 % (down 1.20 per cent), Tata Motors (down 1.02 per cent), Vedanta (down 1.00 per cent), Indian Oil CorporationBSE -0.75 % (down 0.85 per cent), Tata Consultancy ServicesBSE -0.81 % (down 0.75 per cent) and InfosysBSE -0.53 % (down 0.60 per cent) were trading in red around the same time.
