Live Stock Market Updates – Markets cautious ahead of RBI policy, Titan down 4%

BSE Consumer Durables is the top losing index on Tuesday’s trading session, with Titan heavily contributing to the index losses.

Titan Company is trading down by over 4% by blurring some of its Monday’s gains. Titan had reached a high of 20% closing higher by 17% on the NSE on Monday.

At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31274 down 34 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9666 down 9 points. A total of 47 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 24 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

There are 660 advances, 885 declines and 401 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting a negative bias floating in the market.

The BSE Mid Cap Index is trading down 0.1% at 14805, while BSE Small Cap Index is trading down 0.06% at 15400.

Some buying activity is seen in Information Technology and Bankex, Auto, Oil & Gas, Metal, Healthcare are showing weakness on BSE.

HCL Tech, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and GAIL are among the gainers, whereas ITC, Cipla, ONGC, Indiabulls housing Finance and Asian Paints are losing on the NSE.

The INDIA VIX is up 1.3% at 11.
