Nifty has turned choppy in mid-afternoon trades and has slightly slipped from day’s high. The immediate support and resistance levels may be placed at 9560 and 9620 respectively.
Bank Nifty was trading at 23231 level up by 20 points. Yes Bank was the top gainer in Bank Nifty trading higher by 1.49% at Rs 1485.3 per share.
At 2 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31161 up 239 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9588 up 67 points. A total of 54 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 28 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.73% at 14752, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.85% at 15542.
All the sectoral indices on BSE have been trading in positive territory except BSE Healthcare and BSE Power. BSE FMCG index is the top gaining index among sectoral indices on BSE.
ITC, Hindalco, Bharti Infratel, Vedanta Limited, Eicher Motors are among the gainers, whereas NTPC, HCL Technologies, Kotak Bank, Cipla and Sun Pharmaceuticals are losing sheen on NSE.
The INDIA VIX is down 4.11% at 11.25.
