Nifty is firmly holding 9600 level. Nifty 27-July 9600 CE and 9500 PE witnessed maximum additions in their open interest and are the most active derivative options on NSE. Immediate resistance for Nifty is seen around 9620 mark.
Bank Nifty was trading at 23260 level up by 49 points. Yes Bank was the top gainer in Bank Nifty trading higher by 0.97% at Rs 1477.75 per share.
At 12 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31201 up 280 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9601 up 81 points. A total of 46 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 25 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.81% at 14762, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.99% at 15562.
All the sectoral indices on BSE have been trading in positive territory.
ITC, Hindalco, Bharti Infratel, Vedanta Limited, Eicher Motors are among the gainers, whereas NTPC, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Bajaj Auto and Kotak Bank are losing sheen on NSE.
The INDIA VIX is down 4.3% at 11.22.
